Bimber – Single Malt London Whisky Ex-Bourbon Batch No. 1

This is a small batch single malt from Bimber, made in London. Batch No. 1 is a marriage of ex-bourbon American oak casks, and 1948 bottles were filled. The American oak adds sweet vanilla and caramel to the fruity character of the spirit, together with well-balanced spice. The nose combines green apple peel and dried stone fruit with cereal soaked in milk, vanilla sponge, dried coconut and buttered toast. On the palate come bright orchard fruit, baked apricot and peppery spice, with lightly charred oak and creamy vanilla. The finish is a lingering sweetness tempered by lingering spice.
