Peat Reek Embers is an unfiltered, peated single malt from Blackadder's Special Reserve line, bottled at 58.5% ABV in an edition of 620 bottles. The nose opens with dry peat smoke, smouldering charcoal and warm ash, followed by citrus peel, pepper and a light maritime touch. The palate is full and direct, smoky and spicy, with tension between alcohol, smoke and malty depth. The finish is long, with smoke, ash and warm spices.
