This is an 11 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, distilled in 1985 and bottled in 1996 as a single cask for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It was the fifth Blair Athol cask the Society bottled, and it comes in a 70cl bottle.
The Society's cask code, 68.5, gives the distillery number first and the cask number second. This is one of the early Society single cask editions, from a time when many distilleries still used direct heat for distillation.
