Blanton's Gold Edition is a single barrel bourbon from the Buffalo Trace distillery, bottled at 51.5% ABV. The Gold version came later in the Blanton's range.
A generous amount of rye gives it a boldly dry character.
It is described as having spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, tempered by dark fruit, oak and pecan, with softer touches of honey and vanilla.
