Blanton's Straight from the Barrel 2021 (70cl)

Blanton's Straight from the Barrel is a single cask Kentucky bourbon, bottled at cask strength and not chill-filtered. This bottle, in 70cl, was filled in 2021 from barrel no. 102, on 24 June, and is bottle 68. Blanton's was the first bourbon to be bottled barrel by barrel, a practice that began in 1983. The name comes from Colonel Blanton, who ran the Buffalo Trace distillery from 1912 to 1953. The nose combines honey, vanilla, caramel, candied fruit, tobacco and wood. The palate is rich and creamy, with butter, nutmeg and lemon. The finish is long and intense, with peach and lemon.
