Blanton's Gold Edition (70cl, 51.5%)

Blanton's Gold Edition is a single barrel Kentucky bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, bottled at barrel strength of 51.5% in a 70cl bottle. The mashbill is high in rye, alongside corn and malted barley. It was matured in new, heavily charred American oak barrels in warehouse H, and each bottle comes from a single hand-selected barrel. The stopper carries a horse head and the labels are handwritten. The nose is warm rye spice and tobacco, with caramel, honey, dark fruit and fresh citrus. The palate brings rye, tobacco and honey with charred oak and vanilla, and the finish is long, with lingering oak and spice.
