Blanton's Original Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey (70cl, 46.5%)

Blanton's Original Single Barrel is a Kentucky bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, bottled at 46.5% (93 proof). When it arrived in 1984 it was the first single barrel bourbon sold commercially. It is named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who worked at the distillery for over 55 years. Each bottle comes from one barrel, aged in new charred American oak in the middle section of Warehouse H. The nose is creamy vanilla, caramel and butterscotch with baking spices such as clove, nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate is sweet and balanced, with fresh citrus, rich oak, honey and dried fruit. The finish is long and warm, with lasting spice and a subtle smokiness.
