Blanton's Original Single Barrel (70cl, 46.5%)

Blanton's Original Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled unblended at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle. Each bottle comes from a single cask taken from the middle rows of Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace. The master distiller checks every barrel and decides individually when it is ready to bottle. The label carries the handwritten barrel number along with other details of the distillation. The nose is spicy, with dried orange and lemon peel above caramel and vanilla. The palate is full and soft, with roasted almonds and caramel alongside more orange and a touch of clove. The finish is long and balanced, leaving honey, vanilla and citrus.
