Blanton's Original Single Barrel is a bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, with each bottle drawn from one selected cask. This bottle comes from barrel no. 916, matured in Warehouse H.
The brand began in 1984 and is named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton. It was the first bourbon to be bottled exclusively from a single barrel.
Tasting notes mention vanilla, caramel and honey, with hints of spice and dried fruit. The palate is full and round, and the finish is soft and lingering, with light oak and tobacco.
