Blanton's Straight from the Barrel is a single barrel bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. This bottling comes from barrel no. 42, was bottled in 2026 at 65.15% and is in a 70cl bottle.
It was aged in new, charred American oak barrels in the Buffalo Trace rickhouses, from a corn-forward mash bill with rye and malted barley. It is bottled without dilution or chill filtration. Blanton's launched its first single barrel bourbon in 1984.
The nose offers vanilla, caramel and dark honey with spiced oak, leather and dried fruit. The palate is full-bodied and oily, with brown sugar, dark chocolate, roasted oak nuts, cinnamon and allspice. The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit, dark oak, vanilla and caramelised sugar.
