Bowmore – 10 Year Old Dark & Intense (1L)

Bowmore 10 Year Old Dark & Intense is an Islay single malt matured in hogsheads of European oak that were previously used for sherry in Spain. The sherry casks add richness alongside the gentle peat smoke associated with the island. Bowmore was founded in 1779 by David Simson and stands in the main town of Islay, beside the River Laggan. The whisky is a dark amber colour. The nose is sun-dried fruit, baked orange and toasted maple. The palate brings sultanas, sea salt and the oils of dark fruit, and the finish is peat-smoked nuts with spice.
