Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt from the distillery founded in 1779, the first on the island to receive a licence. Gentle peat smoke sits alongside bright citrus and a subtle sweetness.
Bowmore has belonged to the Japanese company Suntory since 1994, after almost thirty years under the Morrison family.
The nose brings lemon zest, honey, vanilla and soft coastal smoke. On the palate there is smooth malt, citrus and caramel with earthy peat, warming spice and a light salinity. The finish is clean and lingering, with oak, citrus and a little smoke.
