A 12 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled in 2000 at 43% in a one litre bottle with a glass printed label.
The whisky matured for over a decade in oak casks. Smoky peat, ripe fruit and a touch of coastal brine show on the nose. The palate offers dark chocolate, honeyed malt and vanilla, balanced by Bowmore's smokiness, and the finish is long, with a gentle lingering warmth.
