Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is chill-filtered and has colouring added.
The whisky first matures in ex-bourbon casks and is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks, which add sweetness to the smoke.
The nose brings smoke with dark fruit such as raisins and plums, and a little spice behind. On the palate, smoke comes with sweet, fruity notes, sherry sweetness and some spice. The finish is long, slightly dry and lightly smoky, with sweet fruit.
