Bowmore 15 Year Old is a single malt from the Bowmore distillery on the Isle of Islay. It is matured in former bourbon casks and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, chill-filtered and with colour added.
The nose is smoky, with sweet dark fruit such as raisins and plums and a light spiciness behind. On the palate smoke meets sweet, fruity notes, with sherry sweetness and some spice. The finish is long, with a light dryness and a little smoke.
