Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured first in bourbon barrels, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks for its final three years. The finishing gives the whisky its deep colour and a rich, comforting close.
Tasting notes describe dark chocolate and raisin on the nose alongside Bowmore's smokiness. The palate brings cedar wood and treacle toffee, and the finish is spicy, with toffee, sherry and barley.
