This is an 18 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The sherry wood passes bittersweet orange peel and walnut notes to the whisky, alongside layers of chocolate, peat smoke, caramel, dates and ripe fruit.
It is bottled at 43% and comes in a 70cl bottle. The palate is usually described as rich in chocolate, with peat-smoked roasted coffee, orange peel and touches of dark chocolate.
