A 19 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle as a travel exclusive from 2024. It was matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Pinot Noir wine barriques.
Those barriques came from Burgundy. Pinot Noir is a light, low-tannin, medium-bodied wine, and its casks are said to add a fruity but not over-rich crispness, with a balance of green apples and butteriness.
