Bowmore – 1965 2018 52yo Oloroso Sherry Cask (70cl, 42%)

This is a 52 year old single malt from Bowmore on Islay, distilled in 1965 and bottled in 2018 at 42% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the fourth release in the 50 Year Old Vaults Series. The whisky matured in an Oloroso sherry cask. The liquid was among the first to pass through Bowmore's then-new steam-heated stills in 1965. 232 bottles were produced, and the release comes in a cabinet made from responsibly sourced Scottish oak.
