A single cask Islay single malt from Bowmore, distilled in 2001 and matured for more than 20 years. It is part of the Artist series, number 12, and the label is illustrated by Gesine Arps.
It was finished in a first-fill sherry butt, cask no. 102, and bottled at cask strength, 54.8%, in 2021 or 2022. 665 bottles were filled, each of 70cl.
The nose is oily, salty peat with seaweed and shellfish. On the palate come candied citrus, ripe yellow fruit, soft spice and a medicinal, camphor note. The finish is long and iodine-rich, with subtle vanilla and chocolate.
