This Bowmore is a 22 year old Islay single malt from the John Milroy Selection, bottled at 48.4% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2010, after maturing in a single refill hogshead (#2787) that produced 312 bottles.
Bowmore uses its own floor maltings for part of its needs, and the spirit is medium peated. Matured for a long time in refill casks, its smoke, salt, citrus and tropical fruit character tends to take over from the peat.
