This is Bowmore 23 Year Old Lovers Transformed, a travel retail release bottled at 50.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in American oak hogsheads and in Pedro Ximenez and oloroso sherry casks.
It is Bowmore's third release with the graphic artist and illustrator Frank Quitely. Lovers Transformed forms a pair with a 36 year old release, and the story behind them is a forbidden love between the daughter of a Pictish King and a captured Celtic warrior.
