This is a 25 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Bowmore is the oldest distillery on Islay and still runs its own floor maltings, which supply a third of the malt used in every mash.
The nose brings fresh sherry, smoke and peat together with a sea breeze and fine salt. On the palate it is semi-dry, lush and slightly perfumed, and it finishes long, with a hint of dark chocolate.
