Bowmore Timeless 27 Year Old is an Islay single malt from Bowmore's Timeless Collection, bottled in 2020 at a cask strength of 52.7% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured for 27 years in bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose offers coastal peat smoke, polished oak, ripe mango and honey, with vanilla, toasted hazelnut and crystallised ginger emerging. On the palate come forest berries, dark chocolate, dried figs, caramelised orange peel and roasted coffee, with gentle smoke and a salty edge. The finish is very long and warming, with spice, oak and toasted almond.
