This is a 30-year-old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled at 43% in a 750ml format. It is a limited edition known as the Sea Dragon, or Kranna Dubh in Gaelic.
The name comes from the design on the black ceramic bottle and its presentation box. The design draws on a local legend in which the dragon was woken by Fionn mac Cumhail, known as Fingal, and swam to Bowmore to fight him. Bowmore itself is the oldest distillery on Islay and keeps its own floor maltings.
The whisky is described as having notes of tropical fruit.
