A 34 year old Bowmore from Islay, bottled for the Aficionado collection by Murray McDavid, which brings together hand-selected vintage single malts from respected Scottish distilleries.
The whisky spent 32 years in an ex-bourbon cask before being filled into two first fill Oloroso sherry octaves. After two years the two were married together. It was bottled in 2025 at 41.4% abv, with 160 bottles produced.
The result is an archetypal Bowmore in the old style, with a refined sherry complexity.
