Legend is a Bowmore single malt from Islay without an age statement, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was introduced in 1993 and produced until 2011.
It was made with floor-malted barley and water from the Laggan River, then matured in American oak casks.
The nose offers gentle peat smoke, coastal brine, lemon and citrus, with a touch of honey and vanilla. On the palate the peat smoke comes first without overwhelming, followed by toasted malt, light oak, sea salt, grapefruit and lime, with a little vanilla and honey sweetness. The finish is gentle smoke and salt, with mild peppery spice.
