Bowmore Legend is an Islay single malt from the Bowmore distillery, founded in 1779 and the oldest on the island. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
The whisky matures entirely in first fill bourbon casks of American oak, which give it a light amber colour.
The nose offers light peat smoke, lemon peel and honey, with toffee, vanilla and a touch of sea salt. On the palate come caramel, vanilla and honey, roasted oak, white pepper and ginger, with a little peat smoke building slowly. The finish is medium in length, dry and lightly smoky.
