The second small batch release of Bowmore Tempest, a 10 year old Islay single malt bottled in 2010 at a cask strength of 56% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It matured for the full decade at the distillery in first fill bourbon barrels.
Tempest was received well by those wanting Bowmore with a little more power. This batch is described as complex and fruity, with the classic Bowmore peat tang.
The nose has blackcurrants, nectarines, citrus and white peach, with light peat smoke and sea air. The palate brings lime, sea salt, honeycomb, bourbon vanilla and mandarin.
