Braes of Glenlivet – 1998 25 Years Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice (70cl, 60.1%)

This Braes of Glenlivet is a 25 year old single malt from the Braeval distillery, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range at 60.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 1998 and bottled on 8 November 2023. It was matured in a refill American hogshead and bottled in an outturn of 179 bottles. The nose is floral, with vanilla, honey and dried banana. The palate is warm, with coconut, pineapple and butterscotch, plus mineral and waxy notes, and it can take a few drops of water. The finish is medium in length, with oak and citrus.
