This is the Second Edition of Bruichladdich 12 Years Old, a single malt Scotch bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is intense, with ripe green apple, pear, apricot and passion fruit alongside vanilla, cinnamon and honey. Delicate floral thyme, clean wood and toasted malted barley come through at the end. The palate is light in entry but glycerine-textured, oily and complex, with toffee, soft citrus and toasted oak.
The finish is long, sweet and viscous, the oils of the barley lingering with a faint maritime note.
