Bourbon refill hogshead
A 13-year-old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. The whisky matured in a single bourbon refill hogshead from August 2002 until November 2015, and 199 bottles were released, each in a 70cl bottle. The tasting notes describe a grassy nose with home-baked fruit pie, later grist and a coastal note. The palate is soft and sweet like barley sugar, with a peppery tingle and a sprinkle of salt. The finish brings espresso coffee, bold spice, stewed fruits and more salt.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
