This is a 13 year old single cask Bruichladdich from Islay, part of the Micro-Provenance series. It was distilled on 31 May 2010 from Optic barley and matured in a first fill bourbon cask, number 1216, which produced 204 bottles.
It is bottled at cask strength, 61%, and the cask adds vanilla, caramel and oak to the malty spirit.
The nose is creamy vanilla and golden honey with lively lemon, a light touch of sea salt and fine clove spice.
