Bruichladdich – 15 Year Old Château Climens Barsac Finish Golf Links Valhalla (70cl, 46%)

This is a 15 year old Bruichladdich from the Links series created by Jim McEwan, made to honour Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky. The packaging features artwork by the golf artist Graeme W. Baxter. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. After 15 years of maturation, the whisky was finished in Château Climens Barsac casks. Barsac neighbours Sauternes and makes noble rot-affected sweet white wines with notes of honey, apricot and citrus. The result is an unpeated Islay malt with ripe orchard fruit, vanilla, tropical fruit and floral honey, along with subtle oak spice and a delicate coastal freshness.
