This Bruichladdich was distilled on Islay in 2004 and bottled in 2022 at 17 years old by Rest & Be Thankful. It is a single cask release from one wine hogshead, number R08/290-16.
The cask gave 223 bottles at 56.5%. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Red berry fruit on the nose comes with fine oak spice and subtle herbal notes. The palate is full, with dark grapes and plums and a depth that comes from the wine cask. The long finish is velvety, with a hint of spice and malt.
