Bruichladdich 17 Years Old Rum Cask Edition is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV and released in October 2011. It is an experimental bottling. The whisky spent about 15 years in American oak barrels, then about two years in Caribbean rum casks that came from the Guyanan distilleries Enmore and Uitvlugt. The colour is pale gold. The nose shows plenty of tropical fruit layered over cereal and malt, the palate is rich, with a balance of wood and spirit and some sweet rum notes, and the finish returns to barley and cereal.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
