This is an 18 year old single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, made as an unpeated whisky and matured entirely on the island. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle.
Its maturation combines American oak with wine casks. The nose opens with ripe peach, honeysuckle and violet, then vanilla, coconut and butterscotch, with melon, apricot and sharp citrus beside toasted oak, honey and crème brûlée. The palate brings honey, caramel, tropical fruit and sweet porridge with syrup, with leather and barley sugar. The finish is mineral, with stone fruit and a delicate floral note.
