Re/Define Eighteen is an 18 year old single malt from Bruichladdich, and the first 18 year old the distillery has produced since it reopened in 2001. The name reflects a philosophy of giving whisky a sense of place and character, here that of Islay.
It matured mostly in ex-bourbon casks, with a smaller share in port and Sauternes casks. Red berries, butter and honey are noted, and the fresh finish shows the balance between the spirit and the oak.
