Bruichladdich – 18 Year Old Single Cask #1434 Rest & Be Thankful (70cl, 53.2%)

An 18 year old single cask Bruichladdich from Islay, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2023 by Rest & Be Thankful. It comes from a single ex-bourbon cask, number 1434, and was filled into 225 bottles at 53.2%, without added colour and not chill-filtered. This one is presented in a 70cl bottle. The nose is layered, with fresh hay, vanilla, citrus and a faint sea breeze. The palate is robust yet balanced, with roasted almonds, oak and a pleasant spiciness. The finish is long and aromatic, with a fine salty, mineral note.
