Bruichladdich 18 Year Old is an unpeated Islay single malt bottled at 50% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Maturation is mainly in ex-bourbon casks, with a portion from Sauternes and Port wine casks. The distillery uses traceable barley, including some grown on Islay.
The nose is floral, with honeysuckle, violet and lavender, alongside melon, apricot, citrus, vanilla and creamed coconut. The palate is viscous, with honey, butterscotch, tropical fruit, toasted oak and barley sugar. The finish is balanced and mineral, with stone fruit, oak spice and a floral touch.
