Bruichladdich – 2002 North Star Spirits 15 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, distilled in 2002 and bottled by North Star Spirits at a cask strength of 57.1%. It comes in a 70cl bottle, and only 264 bottles were released. The whisky matured in a Radoux French oak cask, which gives it the character of a wine-cask whisky. The nose is powerful and the body rich. It is oily and sweet at once, with a touch of leather and smoke, and hints of orange candied dark chocolate.
