This is an 18-year-old single cask Bruichladdich from Islay, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2023 by the independent bottler Rest & Be Thankful.
It matured in an ex-Riversaltes wine hogshead and comes at a cask strength of 54.8%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose is layered, with ripe red berries, dark chocolate and fine touches of oak and vanilla. The palate is full and dense, with dried fruit, spice and a hint of grapes, carried by an elegant fruit acidity. The finish is long and warming, with gentle spice and subtle sweetness.
