This is a single cask Bruichladdich from the Micro-Provenance series, distilled from Optic barley on 31 May 2010. It matured for 13 years in a first-fill bourbon cask and was bottled from cask 1216 on 30 May 2024. The cask gave 204 bottles of unpeated whisky, at a cask strength of 61%, with no chill-filtration and no colouring.
Vanilla and honey lead the nose, with lemon, a fine salty sea note and a hint of clove. The palate offers caramel, vanilla, sweet malt and almond, with lemon and green apple and a silky, creamy texture. The finish is dry, with oak, white pepper and malty sweetness.
