This Bruichladdich single malt was distilled in 2006 from Bere barley, grown on the Dunlossit estate in the north-east of Islay by Kynagarry farm, in the Achaba and Achfad fields. The variety was abandoned because it yields about 50% less than Concerto, the barley mostly grown today. It is sold in a 70cl bottle. This bottle comes from the second release, of 15,600 bottles bottled for the travel retail market. The nose is delicate, with summer fruits and lemon meringue pie, and the texture is oily. The whisky is said to develop with time in the glass and in the bottle.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
