Bere Barley is a single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, distilled in 2011 and sold in a 70cl bottle. It is made from Bere, a hardy old barley that had almost disappeared after growers turned to varieties with higher yields.
The barley was harvested on Orkney in 2010. Although it comes from Islay, this whisky is not peated.
