Black Art 1989 Edition 03.1 is a single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 48.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose it opens with vanilla pods, raisins with chocolate, warm Christmas pudding, blackberry wine, date syrup and walnuts. A little water brings out ripe blueberries, plum jam, cinnamon and aniseed.
The palate is powerful and complex, with a silky texture and oak at the front, alongside malted barley, pear, mango, papaya and melon. The finish is long, warm and comforting, with lingering berries, cocoa and a gentle maritime note.
