Bruichladdich – Islay Barley 2014 (70cl)

Islay Barley 2014 is a single malt from Bruichladdich, made from local barley harvested in 2013 and distilled in 2014. It is unpeated. The whisky matured for eight years in ex-bourbon and wine casks on Islay itself and was bottled in 2023. This edition has new packaging without a box, and its label carries the distillery's recently gained B Corp logo, along with details of the harvest climate and the growing of the local barley. The aromas are rich and complex and change as the whisky is tasted, with floral and lemony notes alongside iodine.
