This is a 14 year old Bruichladdich from the Links series, named for the 16th hole at the K Club in Ireland. It is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV, with a wine finish.
The nose is clean and unsmoked, with bright apple, pear and hints of fig or cherry from the wine finish, alongside malt sweetness, vanilla, toffee, black pepper and a mineral background. The palate is honeyed and medium-bodied, with red berries, strawberries and cream, caramel and milk chocolate, balanced by baked apple, sweet cereal and cinnamon. The finish is medium to long, with vanilla, custard and red fruit, ending slightly dry and woody with a vinous acidity.
