This is a 15 year old single malt from Bruichladdich, from its Links series and named for Torrey Pines in the USA. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose begins fresh, with rose petals, jasmine and grain, then turns sweeter with vanilla, maple syrup, sweet apple, fine leather and ripe grapes.
The palate is oily and creamy, with raspberry, rhubarb and mango, crisp oats and barley, and a touch of coastal brine. The finish is medium to long and dry, with spiced oak, toasted vanilla and white pepper.
