Bruichladdich – The Classic Laddie (70cl)

The Classic Laddie is the distillery's core single malt from Bruichladdich on the Scottish island of Islay, in a 70cl bottle. It is unpeated and made only from Scottish barley, a local choice that matters to a distillery trying to bring the idea of terroir to whisky. The blue of the bottle was inspired by the nearby sea, which can show turquoise tones. In 2023 the distillery introduced this newer bottle, which is lighter, uses recycled glass and comes without a box. The distillery says this cuts the CO2 emissions from making the bottle by 65%.
